Thank you for booking a belt test! 

📅 Test Date & Scheduling

• Test Date: Saturday, November 15th, 16th, and 22nd. (We don’t have any regular classes on 15th and 16th.)
• Time: You must schedule your specific time individually with your professor. Please book a spot at the front counter. 
• Available Times:
  • 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Noon)
  • 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM 
  • 11 AM starts on 11/22nd. 
• Need an Alternate Time? If you need to schedule outside of the times listed above, please contact the front desk to make arrangements.
• Approximate Test Duration: 
  • Blue Belt 1 hour 
  • Purple Belt 1 hour 15 minutes
  • Brown Belt 1 hour 40 minutes
• Important: This is an individual test.
• Check the list of eligible students on the whiteboard on the mat to confirm you are testing.
• Warm-up time is available 30 minutes before your scheduled belt test.

📚 Preparation for Your Belt Test

• Professor's Approval: Your professor must invite you to test. 
• Requirement: All 4 stripes. Minimum time per belt: White Belt 1 year, Blue Belt 2 years, Purple Belt 2 years, Brown Belt 3 years.
• Assistant/Partner: Please ensure you arrange for a suitable partner to accompany you on your scheduled test day.
• Study Materials: The test sheet detailing the theoretical questions and practical requirements is available at the front counter and in the Band App under the "files" section. Be sure to study both!
• Attire: Please wear Alliance Gi on the day of the test.

💳 Payment Information

• Payment Due: Payment is required at the time of booking, unless you are paying with cash. It is due on the test day. 
• Cash Payments:Cash is accepted at the front desk during operating hours:
  • Monday - Friday: 6–8 AM, 11 AM–1 PM, and 4:30–7 PM.
  • If your test is scheduled outside of these times, your cash payment is due by the day before your test date.
• Note: Coaches are not authorized to accept payments. All payments must be processed through the front desk or the booking system.

📝 Cancellations and Rescheduling

• If you need to cancel or reschedule, you must text the front desk at 208-600-8385 before 8:30 AM on your scheduled test day.
• Failure to notify the front desk before 8:30 AM will result in your payment being processed, and you will need to pay again to book a new appointment.

🥋 What to Expect During the Test

• Test Focus: You will be assessed on both theoretical knowledge and practical application.
• Duration: The exam is approximately 1 to 2 hours for adults and 30 minutes to 1 hour for kids.
• Spectators: To help the coach and student maintain focus, guardians will be asked to wait upstairs during the test.

✅ After the Test

• Passing:
  • Your new belt status will be updated in the system.
  • Adults will receive their new belt during a special belt ceremony.
  • Children will receive theirs during their regular class.
  • The cost of the new belt is included in your test fee.
• Not Passing:
  • You will need to reschedule a new appointment. 
  • You get a second chance without paying an extra fee.
  • If you do not pass a third time, you will be asked to wait until the next official belt testing day.
  • You will be asked to only cover missed test area on the second test.
